South Korea, Vietnam to Cooperate for Electrical Safety Improvement
The Korea Electrical Safety Corporation (KESCO) works with the Korea Electrical Contractors Association (KECA) in order to build infrastructure for electrical safety improvement in Vietnam.
To this end, KESCO president Lee Sang-kwon and KECA chairman Jang Chul-ho signed a technical cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Industry & Trade of Vietnam in Hanoi on June 14.
Content of the agreement includes joint inspection and precise diagnosis of electrical equipment, expansion of infrastructure regarding electrical safety and technical personnel and dispatch of South Korean experts to Vietnam for the establishment of electrical safety management systems in the Southeast Asian country.
In the meantime, a group of volunteer workers affiliated with and executive and staff members of the KESCO and the KECA visited a local village school in the outskirt of the capital city of Vietnam in the afternoon of June 14 after the signing ceremony. There, they conducted an electrical safety inspection, repaired bathrooms and shower booths and installed rides for children.
