Overview
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations or ASEAN was establishedon 8 August 1967 in
Bangkok by the five original Member Countries, namely, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand. Brunei Darussalam joined on 8 January 1984, Vietnam on 28 July 1995, Laos and Myanmar on 23 July 1997, and Cambodia on 30 April 1999.


HelloAsean is a web portal that consists of information from all ASEAN countries, providing all rounded detail on every acpects of ASEAN countries.

The China-ASEAN Business Net is the official website of the China-ASEAN Business Council. It is co-hosted by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the ASEAN Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ASEAN-CCI), and supported by the ten Chambers from the ASEAN member states.
 

 
The ASEAN-Japan Centre has been promoting trade, investment and tourism relations between ASEAN countries and Japan through its various activities for 24 years since its establishment in 1981.Having achieved a remarkable economic development during these years, ASEAN realized the ASEAN 10, overcame the economic crisis in the late 90s, and has been steadily strengthening its solidarity within the region.Presently, ASEAN is vigorously promoting the creation of the ASEAN Community by 2020, which comprises of three pillars, namely the ASEAN Security Community, ASEAN Economic Community and Socio-Cultural Community.An Action Programme was also adopted last year as a concrete road map.
